Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information madebyawad.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. Made by Awad is the web design business of Samir Awad, based in Orlando, Florida, USA. In this policy, "I" and "me" mean Samir Awad.
The short version
- This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or any other tracking.
- I only get personal information when you choose to send it to me, through the contact form or by email.
- I use it to reply to you about your project. I don't sell it or share it for advertising.
What I collect
When you use the contact form
The form asks for your name, email address, business name, the services you're interested in, and an optional message. It also records that you checked the consent box. Nothing else is required.
When you email me
I receive whatever you include in your email, along with your email address.
When you visit the site
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, run by GitHub, Inc. Like any web host, GitHub's servers process your IP address and basic request details (such as browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. I don't receive or control those logs. GitHub describes its practices in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
Fonts, images, and scripts on this site are served from this website itself. The site does not embed videos, maps, social media widgets, or other third-party content.
How I use your information
- To reply to your message and talk with you about your project.
- To prepare a proposal and, if you hire me, to provide the work we agree on.
- To keep a record of our conversation.
- To comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
I won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing emails unless you ask me to.
Who else handles it
I use a small number of service providers to run this site and my email. They handle your information only to provide their service:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) receives contact form submissions and forwards them to my email inbox. See FormSubmit's own privacy policy on its website.
- Google (Gmail) hosts my email account, where your messages are stored.
- GitHub hosts the website, as described above.
I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect my rights or someone's safety. I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiries for as long as I need them to respond and follow up, and for up to two years if we don't end up working together. If you become a client, I keep project records for as long as needed for the work and for tax and legal purposes. You can ask me to delete your information sooner (see below).
Your choices and rights
You can email me at samir@madebyawad.com to:
- ask what information I have about you,
- correct it,
- ask me to delete it, or
- ask me to stop contacting you.
I'll respond within 45 days. Some state privacy laws give residents specific rights over their data. Wherever you live, I'll honor these requests, unless I'm legally required to keep certain records.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
This site doesn't track you across websites, so there's nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to turn off. Both are respected by default.
Children
This site is meant for business owners. It is not directed to children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No method of sending or storing information online is perfectly secure, so please don't send passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive information through the contact form.
Visitors outside the US
I'm based in the United States, and this site is meant for US businesses. If you contact me from another country, your information will be handled in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
